Hen House Sitters grew out of my passion for my own backyard chickens.  With a growing number of people setting up chicken coops in their back yards a need for qualified, responsible, and knowledgeable pet sitters for their treasured backyard chickens is growing as well. 

My intention for Hen House Sitters is to offer that high quality service in the Austin,TX area, and to provide tips, articles, and helpful information to people considering or in the midst of keeping laying hens in their backyards or urban neighborhoods. 

Pet sitting for all your treasured pet friends (dogs, cats, other birds, fish etc.) and watering indoor and garden plants are available through Hen House Sitters as well. I'm,Vicky Barnes, the founder of Hen House Sitters, and I'm experienced caring for pets, farm animals, plants, and gardens.  My own pet family includes, backyard chickens, a rescued dog, three cats, and a "granddog" that visits frequently.
